the perfect crime is:breaking my heart

and it will seem
perfect to me.
i will fade
to nothing, crumble under
my duvet, fossilise behind my
curtains and some day you'll
remembering loving me and
find me there- made of
minerals and becoming under
the cobweb crusted light,
changing into something strong
to not be a victim again-
a creature of stone and sea-salt
rusted into the pipes of the
radiator and clinging
to the skirting board-
damp wallpaper
instead
of you.

I don't think it goes off topic, in fact I think the narrative works quite well. I would, however, say that the formatting near the beginning makes the piece harder to follow - it makes the layout look jumpy, which to me makes it feel jumpy, if that makes sense.
