It is one of my oil on canvas pseudo-realistic paintings! (be afraid)
This one is actually kind of old...but i like it.

this is beautiful, you should stick to realism.
i'm like you, where i wanna draw anime and fun graphic shit... but it just doesn't come out as good as the realism.
our brains work differently when we're not looking at references... and that sucks, but seriously

the truth is i have like a double personality i get really into realism when i actually take the time to paint it, but then i get cravings to do more graphic illustrative sort of stuff. the graphy tends to win over just 'cos it's easier and takes less time. but i'm trying hard not to give up on the realism, i actually have a buch of new stuff to upload on that department.

i love how all the colours are SO BRIGHT, especially the reds against the bluegreen sky.
is this a part of the paints, or did you do something to it to make it so spiffy?

i guess it looks brighter 'cos i tend to use big chunks of pain directly on the canvas, instead of doing lots of layers, that way the colours look much more alive. i dunno if that answers your question
