If my lore is correct there is really two goblin-like orkoid subspecies
The one that fits your definition the most would be Snotlings, those are even smaller than gretchins (who are goblin sized) and are barely sentient if at all, used only for the easiest task (ex: farming ork spores) or even as pets
But gretchins are smart, at the very least as smart as orks are and probably more so.
They are space goblins for all intent and purposes and they even bully snotlings since they are not only dumber but most importantly smaller.
Gretchins can be used in battle (unlike snots who are virtually useless even in large number, except maybe as fleshy sandbags I guess) and they are vicious as hell, although they are extremely cowardly and will run away if they think that they might not win
Gretchins are also the economic backbone of the orkoid specie and the logisticians. Basically they do anything the orks canβt be bothered to do (anything not involving krumpinβ some gits)
