wait. you've never tried this before?
oh well, i suppose you ease up on the pressure you apply, the water color pencils are pretty soft. pressure plays a pretty important role i think. then i guess you follow your instincts.
warning, colors become brighter with application of water so brown will be more orange-ish. dont use it excessively

Am not a pro with these, but I usually take it slow and add only a bit of color at a time, so when you add the water the colors won't go kaboom xD Try that? Looks great tho'!

I hate using watercolours too XD
At one point I could use them though, I think the main thing you've gotta be careful about is how much pencil you put on and how much water you use. I use barely any water at all.

I see you finally tried out those watercolor pencils xD Doesn't look too bad, but then again, you expertly took this shot!
Honestly, I still have trouble using watercolor pencils, so I'm in the same boat you are.

Hey, success grows from the ashes of failure, or something like that. We all have more failures than successes, I'm sure. I must admit I have no ide how watercolor pencils work though.
Ooh, tumblr. I'm going to go follow you there!

So you used watercolor pencils. I'll admit I'm not experience in using these either, but then again I'm not very good with color, working on it.
But were you going for a brighter blue? Did it just come out a bit darker than you expected? Or did you want to add more white to it? Even so, I think it looks good!
