Pikachu is cutely sleeping on my sketchbook xDMy second attempt at 3D sketching. Hopefully this is better than the first! ^_^ I know a lot of you told me that Ed's anatomy was a little wierd at places, and his shading had gone to the dogs xD I agree, there are a lot of things I learnt form my last 3D sketch and I corrected them all here.
EVERYTHING DRAWN ON A3 PAPER. COLORED USING FABER CASTELLE COLOR PENCILS.

The whole time was well over half a day! As drawing while constantly looking through a crappy camera is EXTREMELY TOUGH XD
Used Photoshop CS6 for cropping ONLY. Also minor color correction.

The way you make the pikachu 3D is simply amazing. You have a firm grasp on shadowing and it makes your work spectacular. While it isn't extremely original, it is superbly amazing. You have great skills and potential. Even your signature appears to pop off the page! The way you use perspective is astounding and while the picture isn't proportional, it appears to be. I love your art and am a fan. The only thing I think you should work on is originalality but your other pictures take care of that. Once again, superb work. Also you are able to capture pikachu's personality, it's astounding.

First off, I adore Pikachu. Pikachu is just an overwhelmingly infinite opportunity for adorable art. So drawing Pikachu immediately made me happy. (super Pokemon fan) I love that Pikachu is asleep. I don't see that too incredibly often. I also have a thing for pencil coloring- mostly colored but leaving a white space here and there is pleasing to me, for some reason.
While Pikachu is definitely more 3D than normal, it doesn't quite pop out as much as another 3d Pikachu I'd seen. It seems a little weird for a guy like me, who's inept at drawing in 3D, to be saying that, but it is what strikes me.
As a whole, I love the work. Adorable, memorable, and above all, not done often.

I daresay that drawing a Pikachu asleep isn't the most innovative of ideas around, and certainly there can be some minor corrections on issues such as colouring and cleaning up your lines -- there's a stray pencil mark on Pikachu's left cheek and there're some tiny spots of colour missing from its tongue, right/left ears, as well as the lines being of different thicknesses and the tail lines coming off as a bit sloppy.
However, those are minor corrections that I'm sure you can modify very easily. The fact is this remains successful for the sole reason that you are getting close to mastering the complcated techniques involving 3D sketching -- I did a double take when I looked at the photo, as you have to be very precise in order to achieve this effect. The results is a cute, (almost) life like cartoon that seems to literally rest on the page instead of just sit in it, as many artists do.
With a few minor improvements and some branching out into new 3D subjects, I think you can become a great 3D artist in no time flat!

Thanks for the words! ^_^ First off, a little clarification: I mentioned its a sketch + Color, I know my lines are not neat, but i think that in a sketch they rarely are. ^_^ In fact, this "messy" way of drawing somehow captivates people, as long as there are no other technical flaws. However, you are right in almost every other thing though, so I accepted your kind response to my artwork straight away!
And yes, next time, I will be sure to get a 5-star from you!

I look, I squeal, I question if this is a dream, I realize that is real, I die, I come back to life, I freak out once more, I critique it, I fav it. So much talent. 3-D art is hard to accomplish at times, this seems like one of those times considering how perfect it looks. So much time, work, colors, shadows, and heart put into this piece of artwork. I have a feeling these pictures will get you somewhere, Izanagi Aadi, so just keep using your amazing talent, okay?

Wow. Just wow. I honestly have to say, well done. Very well done. This is absolutely amazing beyond belief. The use of perspective was very well handled and used, giving the viewer of true feeling of three dimensional cuteness.
It does get a little blurry at the tip of Pikachu's tail, but I think that's okay, it doesn't deter much.
The shadowing effects also add to the realism of the picture. As of right now, I want to reach into my computer screen, grab the adorableness that sits in front of me, and HUG IT TO DEATH.
Seriously, I - HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGH
I'm okay now. My heart nearly imploded, though.
Overall, this is just plain awesome. Nice job!

I couldnt do anything about it cuz that was the cameras fault.....
And i am so happy that you feel like hugging the pikachu xD I was aiming at such an impact anyway. I would say that this is one of those "straightforward" critiques that I got, and thanks for that.

This seems to be never done before. Clear artwork, the colors are almost perfect too. I wonder slightly if this is ash ketchum's pikachu. If so you slightly messed something up. But still. This artwork is amazing and it looks like it popped right out of the cartoon. I haven't seen many Three dimensional versions of pikachu before. But this is so amazing. And even the lines show barely any trouble. The shadow is even well made too. There is only one flaw that I can possibly see. And it may not have been the same pikachu. I love the idea. And by the way. Ash ketchup.

Secondly, let me correct you on two points xD (no offense!)
--This is anamorphic art, and has been done waaaaaaaaay before you and I even took birth xD Its a very popular but EXTREMELY difficult style of art that is also somtimes called "street illusion art" or "3d drawing on paper" etc;
HOWEVER, no one has ever attempted to go as far as sketching ANIME in the form of 3D, thats for sure! ^_^ So i feel a little proud about that hehehe...
---I understand that you feel a little confused about whose Pikachu this is ..... Its not Ash's pikachu xD If it were, the tail would have been a little smaller in size xD And the general "size" of the Pikachu itself would have been less "bulkier" than it appears in my drawing! ^_^
Okay, other than that, you rock, and thank for the awesome amazing epic words on my drawing! xD
