actually i have found 1 tiny thing. the white lines in the shadow from the window would be a little darker as they would also be in the shadow and the top of the corner of the wall looks as if it leans forward a little. hope that helps

Love that you took the time to comment on this.
You're absolutely right, and this is a common error of mine. I use the masking fluid and when I eventually take it off, when the painting is done, i forget/am too lazy to paint where needed.
hope your comment will help me remember this!

I agree with everyone else who has commented so far. You really get there feeling of abandonment with this piece. Lovely work!

The color scheme in this is perfect. It really has the atmosphere of being long forgotten and abandon. Fantastic detail and really great composition that gives this painting great unity andΒ  balance.. The effect and technique of the light coming from the window is expertly done and really shows your excellent skill in your control of this medium.

Thank you so very much for sharing this with the Inspiring Creation group.!

Some more gorgeousness, I really can feel the sense of forgotten and left behind to rot. Love this, love you What watercolours do you use? I just bought some Van Gogh because my other ones are crappy. I'm still also clueless about watercolour and I'm in my second class about it XD.

Aw girl, you're lovely.
Love ya back

I mostly use Windsor and Newton (no idea if they are a thing outside Europe), and both synthetic and miniver brushes.

Watercolour is a b*tch, no jokes.
It is brainy, and has no mercy; mistakes are forever. But I kinda like the thrill of it.
It's quicker than oil and moreover you don't have to clean, after! Lazy people elective technique!

I'm trying to say: do not give up, it has its upsides.

Yes we have Windsor and Newton in Montreal at least, pretty pricey though , like about $6 CAD (canadian) per tube. I just bought some Van Gogh so hopefully I will have better results than with my crappy gift set. I guess I'll just keep practicing with them and see what'll happen. I have another project with watercolour so, this'll be frustrating lol. My teacher is awesome though so I'm not worried.

I have so much respect for this. I hate drawing straight lines and using a ruler. Your line work is Incredible, but not just that. The shading and lighting looks amazing The colors and all the little details, the little cracks and mould on the tilesΒ really just sets the mood. Great great workΒ

I like drawing perspective, though I feel straight lines do not suit watercolour. I paint them anyway because I'm a dork.
I love you could get an atmosphere from my paintings, that is what matters most to me.
You left a bunch of lovely comments and made my day.
Thank you so much!
