Contest entry forThe theme is the first king of the Pridelands and/or his three daughters. They are mentioned in a comic "A False Ancestor" [link] (it is mentioned there already, but in the translation is a mistake: it should be "daughters" instead of "sons" on the 5th page).
By the way... Wikia says that the mentioned king is the first king of the Pridelands (or at least the first known king). But reading the comic I haven't sen a word about it (or maybe it's that I'm getting blind already). Yes, it is about Simba's ancestor, but they never said that he was the first king. But... let's follow it about him being the first one. For some reason I like the idea. x)
Anyway. In my version, the First King was called Ardhi (which means "earth"). He travelled through Africa as a rogue and he came to the Pridelands. The land seemed a good place to live, but there was a chaos. There was no king to rule over; everywhere were a small lion prides which were fighting with each other for food, water and territory. Moreover, there were hyenas all over, scaring the prey away and disturbing everyone. Then Ardhi came to talk to the biggest pride of the land, whose leader died recently. Ardhi became their leader, and they chased the hyenas away to the Elephant Graveyard. He also found his love and future queen: Elza. After some time Ardhi decided that the land shouldn't be "ruled" by an anarchy and after some time the pride decided to make him a king. He made laws and there were no wars between the minor prides.
His queen bore him three daughters: Mahiri ("skillful"), Kizuri ("beauty") and Nili ("blue") (in order from left to right).
I'm going to make a comic about them (continuing "Chronicles of the Outlands" in the same time). Because I have some ideas.
And calling the First Queen Elza I was inspired by a lioness from Born Free. Her name in original is Elsa, and I just used a "polonisated" form of the name.

I love how the names suit them incredibly well, you look at them and can see the meanings.

Thanks a lot ^^ But I just have a feeling that Mahiri looks too much like Scar and Nili is almost a copy of Nala from the 2nd movie... 
And I'll start drawing the 1st page as soon as I'll finish the 5th page of "Chronicles of the Outlands"

Well Mahiri could be the however many greats grandmother to Scar and Mufasa. It would make sense that Scar gets his genes from somewhere. And Nili could be an ancestor to Sarafina and Nala. Yes that would make Simba and Nala related but very distantly, depending on how long ago Nili and Mihiri lived. I was also thinking that Kizuri reminds me of Sarabi. It actually makes me like these little lionesses to think that they could have been the anestors to some of the greatest lions in the pridelands. None of them look like a clone to any of the lions though so don't worry. They're all very beautiful

I like it. It sounds similar to my own story of the first Lion King.
My first Lion King was Umadi, at a time when the pridelands were a chaotic place, Umadi was the first to discover the delicate balance of the circle of life. He was a visionary, and together with his mate they organized a union that would protect this balance, because without it it would drive the herds away and all would suffer. The animals enjoyed peace and truce under his leadership establishing him as the first King.
Teeki would also become the pride's first councellor, she would be the first shaman and ancester to Rafiki.
In time they would have a son named Paka, and tradition would have it that the leadership of the pridelands would be passed down to the first born cub (regardless of gender...mostly because I'm a feminist and believe men and women should be equals. XP) who would carry on the teacings of Umadi, listen to the wise council of the Shamans, and rule with the peace of the pride and the circle of life in mind, changing or altering the rules when necessary.
In my story though, the Hyenas lived peacefully in the pridelands with the other animals, but there's an incident that causes a rift and their banishment from the land.

"W innych źródłach" czyli mam na myśli postaci, które były wymieniane w książkach, komiksach etc., ale nie zostały rozwinięte lub nie pojawiły się w filmie (np. Kopa i inni)
