I love this! ^_^

I imagined this photomanipulation at school, and competely sketched it out and wrote the lyric placement and everything. I even considered making a painting out of it instead of a manipulation.

But before I resorted to actual drawing (xD) I tried finding some stock, mostly for reference. But this horse and background was too perfect ^_^ Granted I pretty much chopped off half the background and covered the rest with water... but yeah. So this took me about 15 hours to complete. It's 33 layers.

I got the idea for all this when nothing even happened. I guess I can vent here. The situation was (roughly) this; my boyfriend was torn between me and a girl who was upset because he was with me instead of her . He wanted to give her a chance, and leave me to do so. I was getting frustrated because he kept changing his mind. I'm... somewhat depressed normally and that would definitely worsen it... But anyway, the situation's done and over with now, and we're still together But I just had to carry out this idea. It was too perfect.

As far as inspiration, I got the lyrics and the muse from the song Down by Safetysuit. There were also feelings behind it, but those are past.

It represents being left behind for something better, something that the person leaving sees as more worth their time. The waterfall is representative of being shoved and held down, a sort of depression. The horse, obviously, represents the person being left. The chains are the broken connections to the other, that now do nothing but weigh the broken hearted down just as the waterfall does. By resisting the waterfall and lifting the chains, the horse is saying "I'm done waiting."

So I'll do the credits before the song lyrics then.
