Canon: His father called him Avi when he was little and it would be super cute and funny if he called him Avi as an adult like OH MY LORD Avarys would be so embarrassed in front of Aldora, then angry because he's embarrassed. Of course he could never be angry towards his father, he loves him too much.

Also canon: Avarys was that kid who would collect random objects, like this amphibian creature he's holding, and also the stray flowers that fall away from his father's hair. He presses the flowers in a small book he keeps and eventually he begins collecting Aldora's feathers as well. And he may still keep a giant collection of weird things at his hideaway.
