Description I realized I hadn't penciled AND inked AND colored a single super hero since I left the Kubert school in 2010, having only drawn one pencil sketch of Havok and Wolverine for an assignment at AAU, that I then digitally colored. The initial reason I went to art school was to draw comics and all my favorite characters, and I've been jonesing to draw some as of late. So just for fun, over the weekend I sketched up my favorite mutie of all time as a bit of practice to start wrapping my ahead around what it takes to draw these dudes again. Maybe I'll do a series of superheroes... in ponds!

Anatomy is completely out of my head, so please feel free to critique.

Sad thing is, just after I spontaneously decided to draw Wolverine for the first time in a quite a while, the first artist to ever draw the character, Herb Trimpe, fell ill and died on 4/13/15. Heartbreaking. Here's to Herb.

Fantastic work!

I remember the 1990s X-Men cartoon where you have him fall through three or four floors and into the sewers below the Inner Circle Club's mansion and the look he gives the audience as he pulls himself out of the water ... very frightening.

Thank you so much! Definitely try to find reprints of the classic comic story that the cartoon was pulling from, The Dark Phoenix Saga!

Magnificent work, sir!  Thanks for the blast from the past!

Also, if memory serves, the shot they used in the cartoon is almost spot on!
