I do like the premise of this picture. Ditzy is making pancakes for Flash Sentry during his first night at their home. It has a really cute setup. Plus, for a piece of Flerpy fan art, it’s a pretty unique idea. However, there are several issues I have with this picture. Firstly, I’m confused as to why the image is drawn from the archway. If you ask me, the camera should be aimed directly at the wall. You know how every episode of Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared starts off with a flat space image? That’s how the picture should be drawn, so that we can see their faces better. Speaking of which, his face seems completely dull and unemotional. It’s almost as if he’s not thrilled to be there. It just brings the mood down a bit. You should try to make him look more cheerful. As for the technique, I don’t like how the coloring is very light. Granted, you have much darker coloring in your drawings “Family Night Out at the Theater” and “Ran the Leaves”, but the hues should be darker. It would hurt the eyes less. There are also little things like adding detail outside of the window and making the pupils smaller, but they don’t matter too much. Now with that said, the inside of the kitchen is drawn very fine. You have a really good sense of interior design. On top of that, Derpy and Ditzy are nicely illustrated with their gleeful looks and whatnot. Frankly, this image isn’t awful. It just has some noticeable flaws that I think definitely need fixing. Still, I advise youto keep up the great work, AaronMk!
