FANART. OH MY GOSH! COULD IT BE? YES. And in my style, too! It's Brainy and Helga from Hey Arnold, only now older and in High School. Brainy is wearing contact lenses, btw, and still sometimes wears his glasses. Brainy and Helga now hang around each other, especially after Arnold left and after Phoebe left Helga for new friends (kinda, some new friends, though now hangs around Lila and Rhonda and the rest of the girls). Oh, btw, Brainy still wants zee Helga, whether she knows that or not.. Who knows.. But he's always trying to get her to see and think of him instead of Arnold.. Arnold does come back in the end.Helga, Brainy (not his real name), and the rest of Hey Arnold (c) Craig Bartlett and Nickelodeon Industries!

Interesting take on the pair. Can't say I see very many similarities from the original ('cept for Brainy's hair) but I like the style.

yeah, older versions are a popular idea. But if you search for anything Hey Arnold! related (coincidentally, how I found yours) you'll find way too many fan arts in Craig's style. I guess that's why i liked your's so much better.

Aww. Thank you! I've noticed it's hard to find NEW HA fanart and fanfiction out there.. Also, everyone's pretty much bent on the idea of Helga being with Arnold and not opening their minds to other possible possibilities.

Ah yes, well some peoples are just a bit too set in they're ways. I like exploring newer ideas too, sometimes they work an sometimes they don't. That's why I wrote my Blue Submarine No. 6 Fanfic. (Don't bother looking into it, if you've never seen the Anime)
Also, if you're into the HA fan art, check out this guys work. But I warn you, this guy is really into the female anatomy, so to speak. But he's also got dome fics to see.

Oh, I watch him already! Yeah, he draws REALLY GOOD. *wishes she could* Yeah, people NEED to be more open minded. All because HELGA loves ARNOLD doesn't mean it will turn out that they'll be together in the end.. People really lack reality.

Y'know I think (oh crap, my inner Psychologist is breaking out) that the reason people do it is cuz it's an issue that never really was addressed, y'know? It was hinted around all the time, but nothing ever really happened. That's why people do the luv-mashups that they do. They want to address relationships that were never addressed in the real show/comic/anime/what-have-you.
Sorry, my inner Psychologist is like a Jeckel/Hyde thing. Good thing I'm a Psych Major.

*nods* Yeah, it takes the people who like different to actually see and make that difference real. Most HA! fans seem to only want Helga with Arnold and vice versa, and even though Craig said they would be, it doesn't necessarily mean that in REAL LIFE CERCUMSTANCES that it would happen. In REAL LIFE, Helga's dreams of having her affections returned..seem really unrealistic. Though, her seeing Brainy finally for all his worth and love, yes, I can see that happening. Don't worry about your Psychologist persona, I get that way myself.

Yeah, as far as HA! relationships go I always kinda thought that eventually Phoebe and Helga would get into a big fight for Arnold. Somehow I thought that ArnoldXPhoebe might work. They're both big into helping people and making them happy. Sort of a lot alike.

Same here.. Even Lila seems to be a better candidate than Helga herself. I feel bad for her, personally. We can all tell Lila like-likes him, it's totally obvious. She almost constantly leads him on!
