Description
Please, respect the artist; do not use the art displayed here in any way, shape, or form.
First year I've found the motivation to pull one of these together! I love the comparison of February and November; same character, but clear improvement.
I edited the colors on the template to match the dA app theme. I sure wish dA would darken their online theme as well! I love it soo much more than this washed-out green color.
2014 Summary of Art
These drawings were chosen based off their file creation/modification date on my computer, not by their submission date on dA.
-January -
First (and only?) uploaded line-less drawing; also first secret santa as part of the CW community
-February -
Second official reference for my CW character, Salvato
-March-
The month I didn't complete any digital projects, even though I had plenty in the works.
-April-
The month I continued to work on said projects, and still failed to complete any of them.
-May -
First pixel commission
-June -
-July -
You're probably thinking: "But Ashley, that drawing wasn't in 2014." I know...I didn't have any digital art finished in July,
just 2 projects that were still in the early sketch stages - not even worth showing - so I chose my favorite from 2013. Actually makes me miss my comic.
I want to re-do this page soo bad!
-August -
Not only was this done in August; my personal favorite canine piece
-September -
This is the month I started actually wanting to draw people...of course, it sparked from a love for the avatar-verse (specifically, tLoK);
also, because I have literally next to no practice doing humans, drawing fan-art is a good way to kick-start the transition into my own style,
as well as figuring out human anatomy in a way that isn't boring. The background-less version made it to tumblr, but I've yet to upload it to dA.
-October -
Continued practicing humans through fan-art while contributing to 100 Makorra themes on Tumblr (prompt: Always)
-November -
Current (updated) reference for my CW character, Salvato
-December -
Head-shot of Savy; I don't like how it turned out because he looks out of character. I've yet to update the current upload with
the inclusion of his two-tone mane, since I forgot it initially. Ah well, just means more room for improvement!
