Ok hating on people who believe in a religion is as bad as hating on athiests, you don't know if god exisits or not ok?Religion also may have caused a lot of suffering but do you have selective memory my friend? Religion also made the greatest writers, the greatest artists, the greatest mathemticians, the greatest doctors, the greatest asrtologist, the greates philosephers, the greatest empires come into exsistance, inspiring the world today, without religion we wouldn't have all the great things we have in the world today! And this my friend is coming from a non-relgious Agnostic born into an atheist family.

Except that I don't hate people who believe in religion, I hate religion, it is a subtle but important difference.
Also religion did not "make" the greatest writers, artists, or mathematicians. In fact fact religion went a very long way to suppressing mathematicians for an extremely long time. It certainly might have been the only thing that was allowed to inspire a great many of the most talented people in previous times, because if you did a great work back then and it didn't praise God, or Shiva, or etc... Then it was rejected as morally deviant.
Calling yourself an agnostic is great and all, but you really need to work on your critical thinking skills my friend.

Except the idea that the value of pain is negative.

I'd disagree with that. In nearly all cases pain IS a bad thing, it means something is happening that shouldn't be.

Yeah I like to make sure that the things I post hold up to reality, and at first I was a little skeptical of this one. Unfortunately the more you think about it, the more this seems to be absolutely on the money.

I will. And it scares you doesn't it? Funny how something you deny can upset you so.
God bless.

What upsets me is that you choose to waste your life believing (and spreading) ignorant and outdated Bronze Age myths that have no place in the modern world. It's time to let go of that security blanket and face reality like an adult.

I'm highly intelligent and you can trust I don't fit in your stale assumptions of what I am, nor of what I face head on everyday fucking day of my life. There is room for both science and faith in the reality of my existence.
What is truly primitive and bronzeaged is your narrowed view on people with faith. But I fully understand it. I do. You need to make your deliberately chosen enemy dumber than he really is, solely to justify your own points of view.

Science and faith are fundamentaly opposed. Science is knowledge based on evidence. Faith is belief without or in spite of evidence.
How is my "narrowed view on people of faith" primitive and "bronze-aged"? If I were to express my disbelief in supernatural deities in a Bronze Age society, I'd be liable for execution.
I do not view you as dumb or unintelligent, just immature and willfully ignorant.
