Description
Well
I don‘t know whether I‘ve told you before
I‘m getting old, I am not all that sure
But before I forget I would want you to know
That I am proud of you and how you have grown
That tiny cub I sheltered from pain
Has now built a house which protects me from rain
It brings me food and it gives me warmth
A joy in life and supporting arms
And may these bones not hold my weight
And may these muscles slowly decay
I know that when I leave you behind
I‘ve left you strong so you can be kind
And I believe you‘ll be
