Well, the problem of medieval-inspired world and homosexuality is that you have to choose what the lore religion says about it. In middle age Europe homosexuality was punished by death (by fire, sometimes) but that's because the church said it was a sin and an abomination, and even in the roman empire was frowned upon if passive (because roman empire had a cult of "virility", and "being the woman" in a relationship was degrading and almost blasphemous, that's why it was mostly practiced with slaves). But it seems in Dragon Age that the chantry has nothing against it, so I think culturally it would be a non-issue...

If only the Church in our world had that mentally as the Chantry does.

In ancient times they used honey as anti-conceptional, a sweet solution.
And actually the dead talk sometimes... they also walk, fight, become main caracther when possessed by a spirit and can teach you how to become an arcane warrior.
If he told Jowan at the time they could have became farmers instead of saving the world.

I just try to give your drawing justice. As I said before, I like your style but honestly I thought that the colorl wouldn't have fit very well, so I started messing up a bit and... well, you were there during the first page, you saw what I did...
My fear was that coloring - and mostly shading - I would have changed too much your part of the draw (like in the shadows on the noses) "adding" too much on the lineart, so I tried to stay true to your lines and the way you draw the elements... it was challenging but fun...
And yes, the fireball of Eloise was what this strip needed to be "finished" and her line to be "final", gives a "guess what happens next" to the reader, I think...
Coloring and editing, you say? Funny, is te part I like the most...

Hahaha, that means we can make a good team!!!
I think your coloring was great, it gave the strip quite a cartoon style. Anyway, if you had concerns about shading, if you saw the strips I've shaded in b/w, specially about the noses and all that, the effect was similar. I think you caught it quite well . White in their eyes still shocks me, though
I wanted to show Eloise making a true threat, not just a joke . Glad you liked it. Anyway I drew everything as I saw it in my head (well, making Ewan lean back in the ground was a resource to change the camera so the panels weren't boring , but I like how it came out)

Whoo, good job both of you! Combines the best sides of both of your art styles and writing that is at the same time light and entertaining, but also has deeper structures that make people think. Yay for awesomeness!^^

Congrats to you two, this comic was epic.
One nitpick though: It seems to me, that the dialogue in panel should have the "actors" reversed. It should be her who's saying the stuff about the chantry.... to and him who's going "WHAT" at the idea of it being for their sak.

Ahahaha, that's not a bad idea. I guess they don't encourage it "canonly", but I bet there are *some* people in the chantry who think like that, even if it might seem in a derogatory fashion ("Let's make those mages have to do it this way, I don't want any tiny ugly mage children blowing everything up!!").
It's also nice to see how our young mages are looking into their budding sexuality. ...I kind of wish I had a budding sexuality D=

This is true! I bet if stuff like that does happen though they just do what they did with Wynne, and ship the baby off to another circle. Probably it's what they think is best D=

Yeah, I don't know what that means either, but I do assume that they are taken somewhere like a chantry in another locale (and make some cockamamie story like their parents died or something), and if the baby gets mage powers, they ship them off to the circle in another country. Sounds logical at least.
