I'll most likely make another version of this with a real background, but for now I need to rest because my back hurts too much to work on this more.

This is for the contest over at , where you have to design a Gala Dress for either a character from the show or somepony else's character. So, I decided to draw ~ErinKarsath 's OC, Holly. It was originally going to be a surprise, but since you need permission from the other person, I asked her and she said yes. Since the contest is for a design, I decided to upload this now before I hurt myself. XD;

This was really fun to make, because Holly is a very pretty pony to begin with. I loved making the hair, because her two long strands gave the perfect opportunity for some clasps. I gave her bangs an up-do, and decided to give the rest of her hair a ponytail. It looked iffy at first, but now I love it. After a while, I thought her head looked too bare, so I decided to add a little holly berry-and-leaf circlet.
Since Holly is a bringer of Winter, I tried to go for a more light, airy, and winter-y theme for the dress, hence the gems on the top part and the sparkles in the blue. (I apologize for the odd shading on the bottom part, but it's rather difficult for me to shade gradients. Her dress is supposed to fade from blue to white.)
