Greetings! This was the pic that most grabbed me from today's Drawfriend on EquestriaDaily 08/27/2017, and I wanted to share some feedback.
It looks like you've once again outdone yourself with the skillful OC design and pose. Just like the last one I analyzed, you adopted a specific and limited color palette and stuck with it. Almost the entire character is composed of different shades of red, orange, and white, with the only exception being the green of the eyes. The eyes are surrounded by the neutral white of the fur and complementary red of the hair, and their relatively small size prevents them from clashing with the rest of the color palette. You were also consistent about how you used your colors, with the white being restricted to the fur coloring, the orange restricted to bows, and the red restricted to the other naturally occurring parts of her body like the hair, hooves, and cutie mark.
Having a character named Heart with a heart for a cutie mark may be lacking on the creative side, but it does work for simplicity in character design as well as theming. I can easily imagine this being a kind, caring, soft-spoken sort of pony along the lines of Fluttershy or Coco Pommel, and the name, cutie mark, and character design all act as support. What I wouldn't mind seeing is a little more strength of personality, telling me more about who this character is, what she enjoys, and what she wants in life. From this design and pose, I can get that general impression of kindness and I get that she has long hair that she needs to tie up in bows. Also, the fact that she wears matching bows says that she's at some level interested in being fashionable or at least looking good. Other than these traits, though, I can't get much more of a character that makes her stand out from all of the other reindeer. That is, outside from having such a visually pleasing design.
Your form, pose, and proportions are top notch, and I think your silhouette turned out even better for this one. I also really like how you used the sparkles to increase the sense of flow for the picture by having them go with the line of action instead of being random sparkles haphazardly thrown on. I would like to point out the one orange sparkle in the top left that unfortunately blends in with the bow, making it only a partial shape, as well as the orange sparkle in the bottom right that goes behind the foreleg. And while there's very little I have to say in terms of improving the form, I will say that I think there's something funky going on around the posterior. If I look at where the base of the tail and compare it to the position of her flanks, it almost looks like her two legs are not connected, like there's too much space in between them. I think her backside comes up too high and is too circular, making it look a little off. Of course, it may be more of a stylistic choice, so just be sure you would know how to effectively render this character in this style if you had to draw her from an angle directly behind her.
That's about all I had to say on this one aside from the background. A muted, dark green was a nice color choice, as green was already established with the eyes, and the sheer prevalence of red lets it complement the image without clashing. I hope you put this feedback to good use. Make the most!
