I"m planning a fanfic that prominently features Sephiroth, and when I was trying to think of a title I thought of this pic and thought of "Beating Wings". Is it okay if I call my story that? I can credit you if you'd like, since this was m inspiration.

Okay, now lets sit down and talk about netiquette.
See, I wrote a comment to this photograph which is only 4 lines long and says "selfmade".
It is okay if people do not read it, even though it bothers me a bit that everyone and their mom seems to think I buy my cosplays - and I actually do think that my costumes look better than some cheap shit from a Chinese sweatshop sold on ebay, considering that I spent a lot of money on expensive materials and a lot of time to make the costume.
It is also a tad annoying to answer 200 comments which ask me where I bought my stuff. But it is okay. You know, some people tell me "hey this is great, I want it too!"- those are slightly less annoying, actually they make me feel honored that others think of my stuff its so great that they want to have it too.
Then people just tell me "excuse me, could you please tell me where you bought this?", which is a very friendly and polite way of phrasing it, so I am friendly and give it the polite answer that it is, indeed, self-made. Maybe when they ask me, I tell them how I made it and everyone is happy and content.
And then there's your comment in all-caps which fucking SCREAMS at me without the hint of a polite word like some angry German at the beach. Look, I don't know you and this is the first thing you wrote me. It is impolite and implies you didn't even care enough to read my comment- instead you [b]order[/b] me to tell you something. And if you're the angry German on holiday, I'm your angry compatriot who is annoyed by your misbehavior and disrespectfulness! You will probably think I'm a huge self-absorbed bag of dicks, asking you to be respectful, like who the fuck do I think I am?
I am a human being (who is maybe a little bag of dicks but I couldnt afford 50 dicks for my bag) and a user of deviantart and I think every user should be treated with respect.
I think you were really annoyed when I made fun of your comment and told you, I grew that wing, which was really disrespectful as well, so you know this feeling now. It is not a nice feeling when a stranger is unfriendly and disrespectful with you for no reason so please remember this for future reference.

I think it took me around 2 weeks to make the wing itself but much more time to come up with a concept on how to make it. My dad helped me a lot with the construction :>

I'm kinda sorta cosplaying Sephiroth myself and he's a lot of fun to be. (especially when you get requests to kill a new friend who's an Aerith and Clouds run away)

I made sketches of bird's wings, watched my little pet birds fly etc to make the wing look as realistic as possible!

Thank you! I'm glad you appreciate the craftmanship in this because the wing really was a hard piece of work (mostly for making sketches of real bird's wings and changing them to be realized at a big wing with small feathers). Same goes for the reast of the costume, too (of corpse).
