From the model: Thank you for your sweet comments. This is another shoot I did not like. I was battling inflammation from a rare form of colitis and just wanted to cover up! It took a lot of coaxing and reassurance from my tog to assure me that it was OK. I've come a long way health-wise and physique wise since this shoot.

I wish I was fast enough that I could decode your message...kinda like listening to the fast guys/gals on the air! (The faster folks cut the spacing letters and shorten the letters by keying faster.) Did virtually all of this by memory. ( "y" gave me some problems...) I try to listen to folks on the air everyday and practice my keying, which keeps me off the computer. I can pick out a couple of letters if they are disciplined keyers at my learning speed. I really would like to be able to surprise some in the ham club by Field Day in June.
Will be out in the Oceanside/Carlsbad area in October next year for the OHS 50th reunion!

Great expression--between her eyes, her hair, and her poise she's really nailing the tigress look.

I know it's a personal taste thing but I just don't get the fascination with boots. With legs like yours, open toe heels (with and without stockings) just go so well with everything, whether it's an evening gown or jeans and a sweater or lingerie or nothing at all.

From the model: . Strappy little heels, in my opinion as well, are more flattering for the legs. You will see more of my collection. I'm not tall so I also prefer them over boots as they help elongate me. I like boots, from time to time, and have ordered a very tall, tight pair that, I'm hoping, will hug the curve of my legs. We'll see. I've never worn anything like them before and they look fun. Sometimes it's fun to play with new ideas.

Interesting... this shot has just a wee bit of attitude. It's what some would call bold, others may call it sexy, and I'd have to say it's a little of both. The depth of field leading up to her... being on a shiny surface makes for a very cool effect, even if they are just cabinet doors. Her hair looks to be blowing back a bit which makes me think of Sigourney Weaver in that kitchen scene of Ghost Busters when she becomes the Gate Keeper (or Door Master) and let's not forget that intense look in the eyes-- very powerful. It feels very appropriate to be in B&W, the tones make her stand out and separate well from the background. I may have had the hair light a bit higher, and tried to remove the rectangular highlight on her right thigh, but it still looks great. Nice work! -Mark

Yeah, the hair light could have been higher (I had moved it up and down several times looking for the perfect spot to outline her torso and hair - probably should have used both of my speedlights for coverage! This was basically a compromise.) I stared at the hot spot on her right leg for awhile but settled on taking care of the huge glare on the wall in front - my retina's were obviously burning and I just never got back to it!
Tried to get her to do this pose in boots but she was tired of squatting and we tried some other things instead. More from that session coming soon!
