Kylar Stern love! SPOILERS AHOY!
I drew this sketch after a finished the first book and taking a break from work, decided to colour it!
Damn, Retribution (the sword, noobs XD ) is huge!
And it probably doesn't really look like that...after I saw the cover of the third book...I also changed his wetboy greys a bit....
But oh well, nothing turns out the way it does on a cover anyway, right?...RIGHT!? T-T
I had to page back through the book to remember what Retribution says without the black ka'kari covering it.
It used to say "justice" so that's why the image has 'justice' in the title and not 'mercy'.
And how do you like that ka'kari? Sweet, huh?
I drew another sketch last night so expect more 'Night Angel' stuff!!

I really enjoy looking at this! It kind of makes me want to reread the books over again to do some fanart! the only thing I didn't like about the books was when they flipped to a different person, the first book I caught on fast but the next two books the more the characters the more it switches! D:

it might be the 3rd book then. It took me a lil bit at times when the character changed especially when it was Durzo and Kylar. however it was the first time I got a book where it changed the characters without warning.

The one thing I didn't like about the books was that you had to have magic, or else you just a regular joe.

True true. Although, I thought the magic was a nice touch.
But Kylar was basically already good at what he did before he bonded. After tha he just became...more awesome?

Kylar was as good as any wetboy WITHOUT magic, giving him near unlimited magic was just making him overqualified.

I think it illustrated well that his struggles wasn't physical anymore, but mental. As the saying goes: 'With great power comes great responsibility' and all. I feel like that conflict kind of makes up for it. ^^
