Awesome painting! He looks so much like Haku, but with feathered wings and a lot bigger!

Thank you very much! Yeah, the Imperial dragons always remind me of Haku. ^^

Is there a name for this kind of dragon, because that looks an awful lot like Haku from Spirited Away.

It's an Imperial breed dragon from Flight Rising. Here's some info about them: flightrising.com/main.php?p=wi…
But either way, both Haku and Imperials are heavily based on eastern dragons. I'd have to count the # of toes to give you a specific country, though.

My goodness, this is beautiful. I love the texture and his serene expression. It almost has a watercolor type feel to it, which is quite lovely. <3
The wing looks a touch on the small side, however I think that's probably due to the perspective on his lovely face.
I look forward to seeing more of these!

Imperials are so pretty >.< But mostly grumpy....From where I am in the list but I am hoping to join "Flight Rising" anyway...Just need to learn about Speed painting...

The ironic thing is that Imperials used to be the super expensive, in-vogue breed that only millionaires could afford. But now they're one of the most common breeds on the site due to overbreeding.
...Though that happens a lot on FlightRising, to be honest. If you want a pretty dragon for cheap, all you gotta do is wait 4 months.
And I'm happy to hear that you'd like to join FlightRising. Would you like some tips on how to play the game?

Um, no, that's okay. ^^
But as for tips: When you first join you'll want to pay close attention to the colors of the flight that you're joining 'cause it determines the eyecolor of *all* of your hatchlings. I'd recommend that you pick a flight with your favorite dragon colors. So if you like red dragons, join plague. If you like green dragons, join nature. If you tell me your favorite color, I'll let you know which flight will match it the best.
Primary is the dragon's body color. Secondary is the dragon's wing color. Tertiary is invisible unless you add a tertiary gene. Most tertiary genes are like markings or tattoos all over the body, but underbelly (which changes the dragon's belly color) is also a tertiary gene.
Also, when you're making your first dragon, try to make it an XXY, XYX, or XYY dragon because those are the easiest to work with.
- XXY mean that the first and secondary color are the same, while the tertiary is different. Examples: flightrising.com/main.php?drag… flightrising.com/main.php?drag… flightrising.com/main.php?drag… This really shows off the tertiary gene.
-XYX means that the primary and tertiary are the same, while the secondary is different. Examples: flightrising.com/main.php?drag… flightrising.com/main.php?drag… It's a great way to add a tertiary gene which will show up only on the wings.
-XYY means that the secondary and tertiary are the same, while the primary is different. This looks *wonderful* with underbelly. Examples: flightrising.com/main.php?drag… flightrising.com/main.php?drag…

One last thing: Color is the most important thing in Flight Rising, so it's important to be mindful of your breedings. It's super difficult to sell dragons in general, but if you have the right colors and genes, you can still get good money from your hatchlings.
Aaaand... I don't think the game lets you choose the tertiary color of your first dragon. So you'd probably be best to choose your favorite color for both your primary and secondary color and leave it at that. That way, you won't end up with a horribly ugly dragon if you end up with a super random tertiary color (I mean, any color could work as an underbelly, right?).

I LOVE this! Omg the lighting in this is just DIVINE!!! I love how it's all just yellows and greens and blues I LOVE BLUE and omg that precious yellow lighting ahhhh it's amazing! I love the way it bounces off of his little wing gems like that!. Omg how do you even do gem lighting. HOW. Ugh I love the soft gritty texture in this too. And all that lively fur detail. Ugh Pash THIS IS SO PRETTY!!!!!! Amazing job!!

AHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! <3 <3 <3 *rubs your faaaace*
Oh man, I love how the yellows and the blues work together toooo. Ever since I learned about the overuse of orange and blue in movies and such, I've been addicted to using them in my artwork. The difference is that I try to use them *well* instead of making everyone look like Snooki for no reason. >___>
About the gems: I don't know! I got frustrated with them and slapped different colors everywhere and it somehow worked. I'm super surprised that my chaotic color mashing somehow worked.

Thanks, Arfy! The gembond was more difficult than I thought it would be, but I figured it out in the end. The gems on the wing are actually my favorite part of the picture.

My favorite part is actually the texture of the scales down around the curve of the neck (that is facing the sun), but the gembond on the wing is definitely a close second~
