Normally I detest high heels on women but this has to be the exception, one perfectly arched foot in a ballet slipper. Just lovely.

Wonderful, I love the fragile tones and the focus on the ballet shoe. I am a trained ballet dancer myself and have to agree that YES the ballet shoe is the real high heel!

I sometimes wonder whether the Chines long ago might have seen a girl dancing ballet with a long tutu and thought that she just had tiny feet, thus began the Chinese desire to see their daughters with tiny feet. The great pity being that those poor girls could never dance on their deformed feet.
