Riffing off a couple of panelsΒ from Jeff Smith's epic comic, Bone , a comic series that has just broken into the American Library Association's top ten list of banned or challenged books. A mark of quality!Tonight, the part of Fone Bone will be played by Mr. Spike the Dragon. Fido and Spot shall portray The Two Stupid, Stupid Rat Creatures.

Why does that comic get banned?Β There are so many REALLY controversial things out there.
I didn't think the mythos was all that deep, really.Β And, to be perfectly honest, the ending felt seriously anticlimactic.Β They grabbed a Deus Ex Machina weapon which was suddenly introduced near the end of the series and ended things with the Big Bad INSTANTLY the moment it's touched, then the raging giant dragon we never really get a good look at is pile-drived back under ground by a zillion dragons who come out of nowhere and... the end!Β And I was like "WTF just happened?".
It just felt like the ending was thrown together to wrap things up.Β :/

Could be. The series was kind of irregularly published over many years with lots of starts and stops. It's possible he just wanted to end it by then.

If only there was some way to relive the experience of reading it! Some sort of durable, inexpensive physical format we could use, encoded on which would be a series of shapes and patterns that represented the comic itself...
