BT Heavy Large Lasers:
Clan technology, Path of Glory describes them as being oversized beams (if i remember correctly), and Test of Vengeance states that they are amber in colour.

For what reason Mektek chose to make the HLLs purple in mp1, I dont know, but IMO think amber looks much better.

This render represents the longest time i've ever taken to render pic. I mean not only the time taken to actually render it, but also the planning and the positioning, texturing etc. This is because I has to put it off by about 3 weeks because of exams, and hence I spent much of 3 weeks thinking and planning. I'd meant it to be an urban night scene, but the only good city models I could find were all corrupted or didnt come out nicely...

Anyway, I think it came out well, terrain aside. I might look for a way to improve the terrain, but its not likely. I did this mainly to experiment with beam weapon effects, after what I'd learnt in my last render (which was not completed. Some of those at Mektek saw it, it was of an Uziel).
