Description " Not all calls are meant to be interpreted , translated , no matter what language we speak we clearly understand the message. It is as simple as the change of seasons. But those with a heightened sense can help us in foretelling how and when to take the next step..."

Done with Photoshop CS 3 and Laptop (Mouse Pad )

I'm not sure if the color tonality is right as my LCD is very bright. So if it's to dark, please let me know

Beautiful! The fur looks so real. It's a little wiry, exactly as a wolf's coat should be. The best driven fury parts are in the muzzle area and at the base of the ear,in my opinion. The background adds effect to the picture, and the light falls just in the right spots on his fur
By the way, from were did you take the quotation? It fits well the drawing and it's very interesting

AbsoluteWolf In reply to shygraywolf [2008-12-23 22:25:32 +0000 UTC]

Thanks I tried to work out as most details as I can using several wolf close-ups ( mainly on fur ). The background was experimental
The quotation is original, I wrote it down when I felt like it then refined it

you're welcome! Well, if the background is experimental, then it looks like your experiment is a success
And the quotation is yours?! It's profound. You could start writing poetry and even prose, cause you've got talent

But same goes out for you, I mean you have quite a talent in the field of traditional artwork and not only with wolves, but with other animals, themes, mediums.
All of us are talented in one way or another, it's that we continue developing our talent.

Welcome and thanks again!
The same view here about the talent in general. All we need is to discover this talent and then practice.

Thank you ! The proper expression and fur style gave me a little thought, but than I thought about trying out something new, and after a few experiments it came out similar to how I imagined.

You could learn to draw and color similar to me. Just keep on practising whenever you feel like it, mostly in your free time. In addition, there are lot of tutorials here at DA of canine (&wolf) anatomy , how to draw correctly and how to color, mostly to do the fur. Choose one that is most appropriate for your style and keep on practising. But from what I seen, you know the very basics so you can move onto the next level. For a start: draw something simple (ex head or just on eye ) and scan it in. After which you can start coloring it. But several tutorials mention the same.
Also, there is no problem if it doesn't come out as the one at the end of the tutorial, just keep on brushing up your style.

Thank you very much!
I saw many really useful tutorials. It helped. I want to do next step for a long time... simple I can't find some time for myself. Drawing is my only hobby and I don't want to lose it.
And thanks for advices!

You're welcome It's not necessary to do one picture at a time, but you can do it also in fragments. I know I tend to do that a lot of times as my schedules are very tight, but I somehow manage. Just keep on drawing , it's proven that it has a positive effect on peoples health and soul, mind. I guess, that's true in a way.

Keep up the good work

I have few sketches... but I'll try to find some time to finish pics. In school is enough of time...

I agree with you, drawing makes me to forget everything. Like fly away from all troubles and problems...

I will keep up!

I've done photo manipulation a long time ago, but this is not that Although one of my goals is to make it seem as realistic as I can. But I still have a long way to go
Thanks

Dude, it almost looked like a photograph from afar, seriously! That's amazing, how did you learn to draw wolves that acurate! I've never seen anything like it!

Thank you I'm always trying to improve my style as far as possible. As for how I started, I started to draw on paper and practice on anatomy, fur, shading, but the real work was done in Photoshop and/or Painter. But for those who start, I recommend tutorials...It's best for beginner or until you develop your own style.

Thank you I'm always trying to add something new , increasing the level of detail, but probably that's what art is all about
The yellow around the eye was something I wanted to try, but I eventually like it.
