I find the same thing about my translation from pencil to inks. as I am used to drawing in shades and subtleties, where as inks (comic book format) are an absolute with little room for subtleties.
Just stark blacks and whites.
Ive been away from art for 12 yrs and its like trying to learn all over again.
By the way, what is all these pieces you do FOR? personal fun? book illustration? comic?
do they have a final purpose as a collected whole?
Im loving the steam punk-ish style to them.
