FINALLY. @@ I've been meaning to do this.

So I met a writer here in NYC who works in one of my favorite Pizza places. We've talked and we're gonna do something together. I gave her one of my toss around ideas about two kids who start a club against bullying and that their "episodes" revolve around different kinds of kids who get bullied, different kind of bullies, the side effects of such a tassel and so on. she seems to like it!

But what, one of these characters looks familiar...well, to anyone who knew my original stuff back in 2005 will know of "My life as teenaged produce" or whatever it was called, in which my pickle character Theo, and his "veggie gang" plus love interest are all turned human suddenly by crazy german scientist guy Glensfeld. Needless to say that story is of it's own creation and will not be directly linked to future comics...xD though I will pull out some juicy stuff from it.....ANYWAY, if you shuffle through his old gang you'll notice a little girl with pig tails and buck teeth...Kathy the Carrot.

Originally I had designed Kathy to be the Meg Griffin of the show, the one who got a lot of gruff without even doing anything, and being labeled ugly. Years later I seriously can't believe i wrote her character like that...Oo; So who better to make the co-leader of an anti-bullying club than the character who gets nothing but back slaps from her peers?

Her associate and friend Barbera is new. I wanted a character to contrast Kathy, in more ways than one, but still be equal. So while Kathy suffers teasing from her pasty nerd-like appearance, Barbera is a victim of fat-jokes. Kathy is hyperactive, Barbera is calm and passive. Ying yang and all that.

The story of how they meet is pretty nice. One day both of these girls suffer a most heinous bullying act and while running away in tears, bump into each other and share their grief. After they realize that they aren't alone, they take it upon themselves to start a group against the various bullying at their school and to create a community for kids who cannot escape the harshness of high school.

I do this because bulling is a serious problem, :/ But really I'm fascinated by the psychology of a bully. I hate generic bully's that are mean for meanness sake. Even the kids who ARE mean for meanness sake have something behind them, be they abused kids, or eternally spoiled brats. I wanna bring out the facts and give hope to kids in their four years of hell!
