I think the flaming babies are hilarious, personally.
For the lighting and shadows, I use two separate layers. One set to "overlay" the other to "multiply" Then just choose a fairly light gray tone and color in the shadows where you think they belong. Gaussian blur each layer at a 4.5-7.5 setting and flatten the image.
(The overlay layer has to be on top of the multiply layer and it has to be merged last for this to work properly)
I never was very good at this tutorial stuff. I'm sure someone else has a more efficient method...
