I cannot believe I am already that long busy learning digital arts, and I still feel like a bloody newbie.

In late 2018 I had my first virtual photoshoot with a DAZ girl called Rose. At that time, I could barely do more than use bought poses with the figures and environments I loaded into my viewport. The results mainly were grainy images, as I had no clue about render settings. Manual posing was a pain in the ass, as I had no clear grasp of the many ways to do it right, and my PC rig—at that time—was already many years old, and every try to move a single bone resulted in a painstaking endeavor.

When I set up my website (The Realms of AbyssalEros ) in December 2019, I had a slightly better understanding of render settings, and thus I quickly re-rendered the whole series to upload it without grain. A Photo Shooting with Rose .

Recently, I had a bit of inner turmoil and doubted myself and my skills as a digital artist; I even considered retiring totally from digital arts. But dear friends convinced me not to give up and encouraged me to "revisit" some older images to enhance them to convince myself that I had improved my skills. And indeed, it helped me get rid of most of my self-doubts.

I am sure you have noticed that I have mostly done such "reworks" in the past weeks.

This weekend I started another one of these "reworks." In fact, this time, I did even more. While the last images mainly were enhanced employing postwork, this time, I revisited the original .duf files from 2018 and improved the scenes as much as possible without getting too far away from the original version. Only then have I tried to enhance them in postwork.

I intent to redo the whole virtual photo shooting with Rose in the coming days, but here is the first image.

This one is for you, Willibrordus ! Thank you very much for convincing me not to give up.
