This is great, and certainly better than anything I could do. The only thing that bugs me is the length of the arms on the girl with the lighter hair. I guess it kind of depends on how that individual's anatomy is constructed, but it seems to me like it's just a tad too short. Seems like it should go just a bit further.

I warn you, this is gonna get very very long. By the way, what is your definition of "degrade"? I may point out a few things here or there that needs some work.

Go pinpoint it! Lol when I meant degrade, it means trying to level down the artwork using unnecessary description like... "You should change... or you should not" Degrading is completely against or opposite the entire thing of the artwork which makes the artwork go level down or grade down.
Critiques are terms of advice, something needed or something that needs to work on more rather than changing something which is degrading!

Okay then. The coloring is okay for this kind of work, you've got a good sense of lighting, except for maybe the cake.

It's an eye trick which tricked your eyes I guess. I actually traced my house before this and pose my sister as the main girl. Actually the girl is going to left most of the picture not focusing on her. The vanishing point is outside so the edges of the room is just a bother. The tiles in other hand made it look wrong... because of the tiles, you probably think of the vanishing point mistakenly parallel to the girl and guy. I think the tiles tricked us. And.... nope, you may say the main focus is supposed to be the girl actually we need to follow the perspective. If I focus to the girl, the tables and tiles perspective will change shifting to the right...

Yeah I think it may be the tiles. Also, the grass right outside the door(?) is bothering me. I dunno, I expected a smoother transition? A sidewalk, maybe.

Well according to your expectations, that degrades my artwork, changing it to sidewalk instead. That'll change the idea of the art like for example "You're in the forest and wanted building instead of mountains." In this picture, they're near the bushy part of park or so I called "RJAce1014-Park" If I changed it to sidewalk then that'll kill idea they're in the side part of the park which really no sidewalk but stoneway.
Smoother you say? I think it's already good except that my leaves are larger. Don't be bother of the BG. It's just part of the picture and the picture is not meant to be close to realism, it's my style lol XD I hope you get my point!!!

I guess the idea of it being in a park was unclear.
Also, the background is still an important part of the artwork. It does not matter if it is not your "style". As you can see, because of the background, I did not realize that the setting was supposed to be in a place near the park.
It does not matter if it is not realism, I know you can do great art so don't take shortcuts and always put out your best effort. Hope you take this to heart, all I really want is to help out.
