Description Here are my head-cannon designs for Crowfeather's Trial, which is my new favorite super addition.

The color iris's of all cats eyes represent something. Part of Crowfeather's eyes are green and, represent healing and life. Part of Nightcloud's eyes are purple which represent peace, pride and, devotion. Breezepelt's eyes are yellow, which is standard but, here, represent enlightenment, remembrance, and, happiness.

Now, if you don't mind me I'm going to dote about this book and, why I love it so much. Spoiler warning ahead.

Crowfeather's Trial is a faith-warming tale about Crowfeather realizing his mistakes and, making amends with most of his dispersed family.

Crowfeather is one of the characters the warrior's fandom has misinterpreted the most. It pains me to see everyone scrutinize a character that I've personally adored from the beginning. The first main even Crowfeather is seen in is during the journey. Crowfeather was put into a group of numerous cats from different clans; ones that he and all of Windclan grew to be wary of as the same went for any clan. But, he's expected to get along with all of them from the beginning? Just because they're destined to save the clans? He was most real to me and, albeit a bit harsh at times but, if you're placed into a group of strangers away from your home, going on an adventure that could last weeks to months, wouldn't you be a bit sour or anxious, too? Then, when Feathertail died; a cat he loved and was close to, who sacrificed her life to save him and the others, of course, he was going to be devastated, even more so when they had to leave her. It was a tragic time for Crowfeather and, understandably so. When he met Leafpool he clearly didn't love her like he did Feathertail but, still, his relationship with her continued. Then, the three born, and, we changed the narrative. Next, we see Crowfeather who resented his new mate; Nightcloud and son, Breezekit, this is the part that people seem to exaggerate the most. Crowfeather was in no way abusive to his mate and son. Sure, he was absent and easily irate at times. Sometimes he would seem uninterested or bored with his son's endeavors but, never, was he abusive. As the same with Nightcloud, he was just tired of everyone leaving or dying. Depression and his melodramatic behavior seemed to be his killer in this situation. He was just an absent parent, but, people change and in this book cats do too.

Crowfeather deserved a redemption arc and we finally got it.

Crowfeather felt sorry for never loving Leafpool and Nightcloud. When Breezepelt escaped the tunnels but, not Nightcloud he was was distressed. During his dream with Ashfoot and Feathertail, who gave him advice on how to love once more while Feathertail admitted he was not the same cat she once knew, he was confused on what to do. These were intense, emotional scenes. When Breezepelt was being teased and, felt indifferent from his clanmates Crowfeather comforted him. When Crowfeather has another dream and is told what to do, he betrays Onestar and leaves for Thunderclan to ask for help. Once he's banished Breezepelt and, Heathertail search for him and when they do, they're delighted and soon after begin to look for Nightcloud along with Gorsetail and, Hootpaw. He's relieved when they find her but, doesn't look her, possibly out of fear of being scorned or, disappointed in. Eventually, though, Crowfeather makes amends with Nightcloud, staying as friends and not mates. Crowfeather makes amends with Breezepelt too. Lionblaze forgave Breezepelt and Crowfeather and all though Jayfeather refused to forgive Crowfeather and Breezepelt, still gave them medicine. Kestrelflight saved Breezepelt’s life. Crowfeather, Nightcloud, Heathertail were are all so worried about him. When Crowfeather admits he was a terrible mate and father he apologizes. All of this is the sight of a working family unit trying their best to care for one another and thrive. This book completely changed Crowfeather from a hurt, suffering figure to a redeemable, loving character that looked past his grief and sorrow to learn to take care of the family he has now.

This book was beyond spectacular. It is my new favorite for its realistic standpoint on wounded families, overall treatment and character development of Crowfeather and, how it could sew broken cat and, family back together.
