Description Meet Star Luna. She's a lilac-colored skunk with yellowish stripes, green eyes, and rainbow colored hair. Among my seven characters, Star is the one that's been through the most changes, having started out over a decade ago as a male Bengal tiger with a mystical/religious origin to their power similar to Jewel. Somehow, that changed into a light blue skunk and then a purple skunk, with kind of a punk rocker motif. Inspired in part by various cartoons I saw in the 80's (including Rainbow Dash for the hair, and Michealangelo of the 1980 cartoon of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for speech mannerisms), Star is not only my most colorful of the seven characters, but also what I consider the strangest. Unlike skunks of our world, Star's natural defense isn't to spray a foul odor, but rather to generate electrical current similar to a pikachu. Also, Star's mother had her before marriage, and got married to a green wolf who had a baby son of his own (When Star's mom got married, Star was about 2, and the wolf cub was less than a year old). As a result, Star grew up with a green wolf dad and a green wolf pup baby brother named Arthur (Usually referred to simply as Arty). Star and her brother grew up in a beach house, and her parents essentially shared both responsibilities of work and child-rearing (Star's mom gardens fruits and vegetables while her dad fishes. Whatever they don't eat got sold to pay the bills.). Star first got into playing the guitar by learning it from her dad as a means of soothing herself and keeping from getting angry and zapping people. In general, she doesn't like zapping others (which she refers to as "butt lightning"), though she'll use her electricity for other things when needed. Star has a personality like that of a stereotypical Californian, and her tendency to underthink things is a running gag. Star is also a bisexual with another running gag being hitting on Ruby and other women (and sometimes men, like Jack) who don't return her feelings. A third running gag is that she's immune to mind control, with the implication that she doesn't have a big enough brain to be controlled. In her home world, she essentially has a male and a female love interest separately and Star has trouble deciding between them similar to Archie being torn between Betty and Veronica. Similar to dimwitted-but-honest characters like Disney's Goofy or Pinky from Pinky and the Brain, Star has a kind nature and conscience that often makes up for her confusion and lack of foresight. Star is also the only one who actually respects Fuzz for being smart rather than focusing on his small size. Star primarily plays the guitar and sings, but sometimes she can play other instruments as well (because music is kind of her thing). Another thing is Star wasn't BORN with rainbow colored hair, but rather blonde hair, and she started dying it as a teenager. Once again, this is a picture I made for a stuffed animal commission, and I'll be posting a picture of said stuffed animal next. As always, thanks for clicking!
