I don't do the homestuck thing, but I will never pass an opportunity to draw kitties >//////<A lot of what I've been doing the last 6-9 months has been vending at artist alleys at various anime conventions.
Working on A LOT of fanart/parody stuff I have not shared with DA because I rely on these things to fun my travels.

i recomend reading all the rules of "fair use" but yes. as long as you dont use licenced images names ect its generally safe.

I recently got hooked on Homestuck due to a dubbed version of Youtube.

I'm not a huge fan of homestuck but I believe that Andrew Hussie (the author of homestuck) forbid selling of any homestuck merchandizes unless its for a personal commission

It's parody and protected as such.
It's part of copyright laws, like how popular songs are open for impression and parody.
Ive heard he was rather touchy about such matters though.
