Ishida Hayato, 17 years old, student at Teitan high school (same class as Shinichi), admirer of Shinichi, without ever having had the courage to go talk to him (too shy). He sets out to find her after she disappears (when Shinichi took the APTX) as he finds her strange, while he always showed up when he was solving a case, the media seems to have gone quiet, and the high schooler doesn't appears more. While researching, he gets closer to Ran, to ask her questions, looking for Shinichi. He finds it suspicious that Conan arrives right after Shinichi's disappearance, and equally strange that Detective Mouri becomes famous, right after Conan appears at his side. Following his discovery, he tries to approach him, but that's when he falls into the hands of the Organization. His father and his mother being never at home (always hanging out in bars), so he goes to look for Detective Mouri's office to find help.
