Gramma's Necklace

I was always close with my Grandmother. Spent a lot of time with her and she knew the secrets I couldn't tell anyone.

She seemed too understand things that i couldn't dare tell anyone else.

So it didn't seem surprising to her when I reached my mid 20's and didn't have a girlfriend are anyone else for that matter that i ran with .

Just a minimal job and mostly work and come home to wait for tomorrow and head back .

I have been living with her since graduation , taking care of her .

Gramma's have secrets too , I know some of them , but definitely not all.

On my 26th birthday I learned some secrets , things the family doesn't know .

She started telling me a story of her life as we shared a few glasses of fine wine , loosens the tongue , makes talking easier .

She started telling me about a sad boy from long ago.

I'm just sipping my wine listening quietly .

She is telling about this sad young man the boy became , much as I am.

We are just sharing the wine and feeling mellow from the drink.

Now I need too tell you my gramma's in her 80's , seen a lot , done more , she is in very good health for her age , 5'3" , very fit , petite .

This young boy , sad boy that became a sad young man, she said she knew him very well , very close.

She tells me how that man was out in the countryside one day just exploring , seeing what he hadn't seen before .

Notices a little cottage miles from the nearest neighbor , looked to be occupied an in good shape ,
So out of curiosity , he goes to check it out .

As is normal courtesy in the day , before entering the small fenced-in area , he shouts at the house .

! Hello ! To let anyone in the house they have company and to listen for an invite or warning to stop.

He hears a woman say hello as she opens her front door, the woman appears to be in her 50's and neat dressed for country living .

I'm still sipping my wine , quietly listening too gramma's story .

The young man is invited in too sit awhile and share some tea and talk , he graciously enters , they talk about living this far out .

She honors the ancient ones , the forest ones , town folks are afraid to come out too visit her , she knows things that the town folks find disturbing .

She ask the young man what brings him out this far .

He answers he is just exploring , seeing what he hasn't seen.

She notices a sadness in him, in his speech .

Why are you sad , this strange woman ask .

He responds , I dont always seem to fit to fit in .
So I decided to take a walk.

She tells him, I want to give you a gift , I haven't had anyone come to my door in years .
I want to gift you something I know well make your life better , fuller .
She digs thru some items in a cloth bag by where she is sitting .

Pulls a gaudy looking necklace out and hands it to him , he thanks her , I didn't come here expecting anything .

I know that , she responds , that is why you leave with a gift ,a special gift that I must explain to you .
This is enchanted , it can cause certain things .
Put it over your head an around your neck .
The young man does, he feels his hair lengthen and his body feels like things are shifting , no felt pains during this .
Notices arms and hands seem smaller more petite and his pants , legs , he feels like the wooden chair has padding now , but as he looks at himself he notices that he has very ample breast protruding proudly from his chest , he didn't feel it happening .
It just was .

He looks at himself , then the woman with wonder in his eyes .

You are fully female now , take off the necklace .
He does and he is back to himself now .

This is my gift to you , the gift to be who you want to be , I believe that is what you were seeking when you struck out on your hike .

He sits looking at her with wonderment and thanks in his eyes .

I have no words kind lady to express my gratitude .

None needed young man or woman .
This necklace has one rule , wear it and you are a full woman that can bear children , once you bear a child , that is a choice , from then on a female you shall be til your dying day , you can remove it anytime before pregnancy and return to manhood .
