I thought those "noise bands" were lens flares.

My PSP makes them like that.

I was just outside taking some Moon shots.

They won't come out anything like yours : )

incredible Terry! and you are to much a critic to yourself I can't see any of the problems you think you have going on lol. I just see simple brilliance! and how it looks just like the judging eye of a great spirit! sit back and look again..there is definitely an eyebrow of redorange and grey and the moon being the astounding pupil! majestic and mighty!

Thanks. On my monitor, I am seeing a lot of noise, like bands around the moon, stretching out to the sky.

Do you see that or is just my monitor?

i think it's my monitor at home. the computer at work shows a much better view. i was able to tweek my home monitor and it looks much better now.
