Description + I usually love this part of the day because there's very little interruption or stress for Jensey and I. We can setup the dress wherever we'd like and just work around it. (Believe me, it's still weird to think I enjoy setting these up and working with pretty pieces of fabric. Occupational hazard, I suppose. )

+ We had the 1Ds for this wedding and I'm so glad we did! Full-frame combined with the 24-70 was a dream to work with. And the 22MP were kinda neat too.

+ Enjoy!

Love how the light highlights the ridges in the fabric and accentuates the folds! Beautiful detail piece!

I'd have loved to see it full view (which I can't for some reason) but I love this shot in small view, too.

was that natural vignetting?

Not quite natural.

But yah, loved the camera. I never got used to the AF selection compared to the 40D, but I'm sure I would given enough time. Had to shoot two weddings that trip, though, and wasn't allowed to shoot exlusively with the 1Ds...had to share some CF cards with Jensey!

aperture has an amazing tool for it. shooting wide open with the noctilux in daylight produces a "natural" vignette. i actually quite like the look although many people say that it's a "fault" of the lens.

is the af selection different? i don't know.

that was very nice of you sharing! for sure. i was shooting the other night and the editor looks at my cards and says "i don't want to see any of the 8gb or 16gb cards come back from the runner." i was nice. i only shot the 2's and 4's.

you should really get the 1dsm3 ... one of the best files i've seen come out of any digital camera.
