Description + This two-shot series isn't much, but I've always liked the fluidity in them. So I'm sharing and that's that. I almost put these in scraps, though. While I love the look and feel of these photos, there's really not much else to engage the viewer. (Granted, I feel that way about most of my archives these days, so maybe that explains a lot.) Anyways, hope you enjoy! (See " Fast Forward 1 " also.)

+ In case you're wondering, the technique in these shots is pretty simple. Shutter speed of 1/30 to 1/80 of a second, a steady hand, and a quick zooming of the lens.

+ No filters used. Or any editing, for that matter.

That zoom technique is pretty cool, but to look at the image gives me a headache because of the optical illusion it's well done, though. Out of curiosity, what is that place you were looking up (or down) ? It almost looks like a sea of interconnecting jungle tree houses

It's actually looking through the trusses of a half-mile long train bridge. Thanks for your thoughts!

I thought this was another lensbaby shot at first.. I've done some work with that technique, but not with the focus point off-center. That's pretty sweet.

First of all, the reason I like this photo is because of 1) the technique, and 2) the color. The color adds so much to the photograph.

Here's one of my attempts with zooming in, but definitely not as good as this one. [link]

Practice practice. If you've got a manual setting on your camera, try shooting at 1/10th to 1/30th of a second to achieve this affect.

An interesting technique, it works better in this photo than the first one, this has a lot more depth, more colour, blah blah blah. Good work.

It's funny...but I've done some motion blur work, but the zoom blur is not one that you think of that often (especially if you use a prime lens) - it's a great effect. did you do this on a film camera or digital?

sort of wish there had been a lil more light in the shot, the shadowy areas are really dark.
but the effect is really great to look at...and in the long run, that's what you really focus on.

nice nate!

This one's neat. Reminds me of a sci-fi chase scene in a movie or something. Maybe that's because star wars is all over the TV again.

This is awesome looking. It really makes me feel like I'm moving, without being too shakey and distracting. I'm going to have to attempt this sometime. Well, whenever I get my camera that lets me be able to do things like that.

Lovely work.
