Last weekend, I went to my church's annual picnic at the lake where we got to do all these water stuffs. Among them, I tried water skiing! 8D I was complete, utter, epic fail on my part, but it was still a lot of fun.
So here are two of my favorite Wild Things (I really like the lion one, eagle one, and bull one too. 8D Big nose guy makes me laugh) In the left hand corner, that's supposed to be a stamp of Max's hand in the night sky (one of the first pictures in the book) so this would look kinda like a postcard. You know, Greetings from Where the Wild Things Are... or Wild Thing Island. Whatever. X3
I love the Wild Things~ I have the book and VHS, I even have a blue T-Shirt with them on it. 8D
I'm really happy with this pic- particularly the Wild Things. I didn't think I could draw them as well as I did. You can at least tell who they are, right? :3 Played around with the water too. It could use work, but not too bad for a fist. I spent so much time on this...
Anyone else psyched for the movie?

Ah, I found out about the new movie the other day~ So excited! I hope it does the book justice. n.n
Aaaanyways. There are no words for how talented I think you are, nor how jealous I am that you draw so well. If you don't win there's something really weird going on. *nods sagely* I'm afraid I can't really give you any useful critique, but hopefully this'll suffice.

You oughta draw in this style more often, I think it suits you much better than the Sonic style. Not to mention it's one million times more epic than said style. -nodnod- But then again, I'm biased.
The way you chose to use the colors - and the general style of the drawing - is perfect perfect perfect. The perfect feeling, the perfect execution, although I'm sad to say I think the movement is a little less then perfect. Sorry, I'm not quite getting the impression that there's movement, everything looks so static. I can overlook that though because every other aspect of this artwork - from the shading to the scale, and the water all the way to how you drew the toes - they're all perfectly perfect. Color me deeply impressed.

I tried to imitate the roaring pose in the book too much, and the sea monster is just... agh, the hair is what killed me. D8 Yeah. Wow, thank you so so so so so so so much!

It is! D: The other people who did it made it seem so easy, but most of them were half a century older than I was and had years of experience. I couldn't keep the damn things straight, although I managed to do it for a little bit. owo
