Wow... I respect Vera's questionings. Even more so because she doesn't dismiss Diiefvs concerns, belittles them or tries to easily comfort him either. She makes him question and have him come up with the answers. That's amazing...

But where do you draw the line? Allow any restriction of that nature (and they already have court-ordered medical intervention in certain, extremely sick and that's being polite, situations) and you'll find all poor people forced to become medically infertile and only the elite 1% allowed to have kids. Do you really want that?

If any sort of restriction on procreation becomes accepted practice it will degenerate to sterilization of the poor. The 1% are the world's biggest supporters of Eugenics (which is why most, if not all, of the 1% practice inbreeding since they figure their "kind" is privileged and the bloodline must be preserved).
