Description
Based on my older painting "Water Lily", it was done in Painter X with the Sumi-e brushes category only. I was meant to take inspiration from Yamato-e and Ukiyo-e art.Related content

Beautiful work! The shading is relatively simple (at least compared to your other work ), but it really grabs the eye where it becomes more detailed, and it works wonderfully with the whole image.

What do the words in the stamp/red box mean? Rather, whats it say. Ive always loved the Ukiyo-e style, even though shes very detailed to fall into its category, the merging of modern painting into older older/culturally specific styles is fantastic. I like it alot.

This is an amazing drawing, I really like her face and hair. However, one of her hair ornaments seems to be going through her skull instead of her bun. I doubt you're going to go back and edit it (I wouldn't) but if you do, I suggest you move it up and make it smaller.

"that's really nice" sounds a bit flat and lame, but I'm just not feeling my usual creative self at the moment, sorry.
It is really beautiful, though, and right up my street.
You remind me i need to study more reference for kimono designs.
