CHECK OUT MY ART BLOG @ [link] sketches and quick work will go on there in the future!!! ^_^There must be squirrels in the world with better grasp of male anatomy than me... why are muscles the bane if my life? Muscle physiology lectures never made much sense and I can't draw men.
No time like the present to practice though right?

My guess as to why male anatomy is the bane of your existence is that you are female. Most guys struggle with female anatomy quite a bit. Proof of this being all the beach balls that materialize on the chests in pictures of figure drawing models by college males.

it does look good. I think all women have issues drawing male anatomy, and it seems like it's the same with men. they have trouble drawing women initially.

What you've done here is hardly bad work, even if the figures you've drawn have a definate effeminate bent to them; these sketches bring to mind the body structure of men like Orlando Bloom, Johnny Depp and the late Brandon Lee. That can't be all bad, right?

I feel your pain....men were not my forte as well. But I took a great anatomy class, taught by an amazing teacher. And now I feel like I can draw more life-like men than women! I also think men are more interesting to draw....

And seriously, all male anatomy talk is like "ah bloo bloo bloo" to me.

The male body has the same amount of muscles as the female body (unless you're doing a full frontal nude!) It's all about proportions. Your upper left with the white highlighting looks good around the collar bone and neck, but then you went a little too long in the deltoid and the pecs. But, your rendering of the hot spots look fabulous. The figure on the right has the classic inverted triangle going, but needs some more definition work around the ribs. The face on the lower half of the page needs work, though.
As if I can get my own hand to draw any better...HA!

Haha! I feel your pain (although these look great, btw!) I always hear guys talking about how difficult and elusive the female form is, but as a girl, I find guys WAY more difficult! It's like, I see what a girl looks like every day!
Guys are all angular and straight, no curves like chicks have! Oye. It's all about practice I guess.

I find the male form difficult because they have more muscle definition, and all of a sudden I feel like I need to learn about bones and muscles and stuff, urgh

Male anatomy has always been a draw back for me as well.
Recently I got this book, though, called "Anatomy for the Artist" by Sarah Simblet and it's really helpful for anatomy in general, but especially male.
A lot of the poses in the book are similar to the ones you've drawn too, so I recommend it if you ever have some extra pocket change at a book store

I never took anything higher than high school art...so I had to learn the whole anatomy thing on my own...and I'll tell ya, it took a long time before my male figures stopped looking like females in the faces 
So, yes there's no time like the present to practice and nail it down! And yes I faved it because you did a good job on it.
