I kinda did this picture for a poem I wrote early this morning.Upon the water's surface, beneath a moon lit sky
I wonder why it is that I can't truely fly
Why my wings can't carry me far off away
from all the pain and sadness that is of yesterday
Off into the sunset my wings would carry me
Towards all the beautiful places that I want to see
The hope that consumes me are my prayers to leave this place
All the hate and sarrow would simply be erased
Forgetting all the memories of what mean people say
And I would start again in a land far away
My tears break the water's surface beneath the moon lit sky
And I cry because I really want to fly.
Yes the wolf in the picture is doing the impossible, walking on water. But his dream is to fly.
So yeah that's the poem. And I really like this picture. Found a new shading technique by doing this so I am happy. ^_^

Yay! lol I was hoping that the semi realistic effect would make them look better, I would still do it in cartoon style for my RE characters. But I enjoy doing my pictures this way. I try to make them look more realistic but still keep that cartoonish spirit in the bright colors. ^_^

Hehe thanks Drak! ^_^ I am glad I am getting better. Hopefully one day I will be able to do realistic pictures but I like leaving a sense of cartoonishness to them as well. Gives them a lot of character I think.

Realism is a HARD thing to pull off, I've tried my hand at it a couple times. Only one picture made it to my gallery though, and it's only Semi-realistic

Thanks Blitz. I tried something different with this one, after using the smudge tool on the furr I started handing highlights into the furr like normal but this time also added in some burn tool effects. to create the shaded parts on the furr. Never done that before but that is what I did on this picture. Burn tool and dodge tool are my gods. XD!
