Description I'M SORRY FOR THE SCAN LINE!

I tried to fix it in photoshop, as you might tell I let it be on the cloth part. I don't know if you can still see it on the face..maybe..

Anyways this is my drawing of the amazing artist Darren Hayes! He's the vocalist of the band/group/duo Savage Garden( they are not playing anymore). He now has a solo career, so if you havent heard him sing..go do it now!

The hair sucks but I had it laying around with no hair for a few days now and I have books to read for school and a commission I have to start drawing. so I just thought "screw it I'll just draw it quickly" so its not hat good..
Its a bit darker here than the original because it looks better that way, can you blame me?
I'm trying to work on getting textures in the skin, how did I do ?

Tools used:
Derwent pencils
Eraser (kneaded, normal and electric)
Tortillion
Q-tip
Paper tissue

Should I scan it again on a better scanner for you guys?

Thanks I've mostly just added small dots and lines to create the skin texture

There are some tutorials on it around the net I think But really it's all about being patient and draw everything you see in the reference

I'll remember that on all my future stuff. I tried looking but a google search didn't bring up much... most of the time I just try to press my kneaded eraser to something pore-ish textured and then dab that onto my paper...

You're welcome! The only radio station that comes in very well for me is a local one that plays mostly 90s music, so for a few years I didn't actually know much music from after 2005 or so.

Wow, (what scan line) this is really awesome! I love the realness. Actually, I think his head hair looks fine, but some of his armpit hair looks a little scrawled (towards the bottom).

Fantastic shading and texturing on his beard. @_@
