Terrible day. Simple, but potent piece of art.

Time to pay respects to all those who have been affected by the terrorist attacks in Paris.
Thank you so much.

God, I hope something like this won't be repeated. It's just awful, what these terrorists are doing, and even worse is that it's hard to stop it because the governments are afraid of being politically incorrect by making a move in their own country. Let's hope that something like this will never happen again. Love your tribute by the way.

I agree. But as President Obama said at the G-20 summit in Europe over the weekend, all it takes is just for a handful of people to create a lot of destruction. Social media gives them a global platform. That being said, when ordinary citizens like you and me speak up and stand against this evil, that destroys the stranglehold of fear that these terrorists have over us.

Forgive me for not telling you earlier, Rach, but your first post is very bold and inspiring for a young artist your age. I wish some of our political leaders had that same boldness and character. You possess a wisdom far beyond your years, and that encourages me for the new generation of kids now growing up.

Oh wow, really? Thank you! That means a lot to me since I'm usually known as the meek one at school, haha. Well, it's my friends on dA like you that give me the courage to post it!

A very powerful and fitting message. Be encouraged that the DA community has come together in support of the people of France with a huge amount of tributes and condolences.
One of my classmates here at Hawaii Pacific University is from Paris, and there are many international students from France. Other classmates are devout Muslims from the Middle East who cringe at the brutality of the Islamic State terrorists. HPU is considered the most diverse university in the United States, and who knows how my friends will be emotionally when classes resume tomorrow.
Here in the States, the football team for the US Military Academy (West Point) took to the field with the French flag along with the American and Army flags to thunderous applause. The Paris Las Vegas hotel turned off the lights on its Eiffel Tower replica in solidarity with the real-life darkened tower. And just down the street from my school, the lights at Honolulu Hale (Honolulu city hall) are in the pattern of the French flag.
Vive La France! Β

Don't think any more can be said that hasn't already been said about this horrible tragedy...a very profound tribute.
