Finally got around to finishing this reference sheet for my boy, Jox! Designed from the very fun scribble gotcha held by MAJIKK-U and ROKK-U a while back. Now onto the all the fun backstory bits
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Name: Jox
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Animal/plush: Fox
Relationship: N/A
Sexuality: Asexual
Traits: 2 eyes (C) Black Sclera (C) Round Pupils (C) Tetris Object insides (UC) Fox (R)
Personality: Jox is very stoic and tries to be that one badass OC made by a 14 year old, but he gets blushy and frustrated at the slightest positive attention. He's very cold on the outside, but he's actually a super squishy baby.
Likes: Video games, dupstep, warm blankets, staying bed and watching movies, comic books, some anime, graffiti art, Gothic aesthetics, doing some doodle art, and snacks (namely animal crackers)
Dislikes: Interactions with other people (he's socially awkward), trying to help people with their emotions (he can't understand emotions well), romance movies, romance in general (he finds most 'romantic" gestures to be...creepy), super bright pastel colors, tons of sweets, kidcore
Backstory: Jox has a pretty tame backstory when compared to his friend Dakoda (whose like a dad to him). His plushie was actually hand created by a 12 year old girl who wanted to create a fox plushie out of some felt and cotton they got on sale. The only felt they could get was very patterned, hence why he's basically only one type of felt, while being stuffed with cotton balls. It wasn't very good, but they were proud. They posted him as an OC and plushie example, kick starting their artistic career taking plushie and drawing commissions. Jox was a character she loved drawing constantly, and he went through a lot of phases as a character design, but she always kept his plush close by. He stayed on her bed, or her desk when she got older. Now she's in college, studying costume making and puppets. When she was moving into her dorm for her junior year, she found him in an old box that her dad dropped off (as her parents were moving from their childhood home), and she found her old buddy. Smiling, she looked at her first ever attempt sewing, "It was all thanks to you, I couldn't have done it without you." She placed him on her bed, and started to head out with some friends. That's when Jox's turned into his Necrobie form, and he instantly took a nap in her bed. He was a sleepy boy.
That night was an..eventful one, as a college girl came home to find a being in her bed. But after some screaming, security calling and talking everything out, things were all good. Jox was allowed to stay with the girl for some time, but he was very different from her. He disliked going out with her friends, always wanted to stay home and play games or sleep, and never really enjoyed going out and seeing the sun. He was trapped in a box for the last couple years, darkness is his friend. While the two had an amazing relationship when they were alone together, they lived two different lives, so he thought it'd be best to leave. He still supports the woman who created her, he shows up to her shows and shows how much moral support they have for one another. He's like a distance tired brother to her, and that's all she could ask for.
Now he spends his time playing games, and actually makes a decent living off of selling customized shirts (a passion for screen printing he found while taking a couple art classes with his creator). He also designs band and online gamer logos, and has been dabbling around with some editing tricks. The only real friend he has as a necrobie is Dakoda, who tries to be a protective friend and gets him out of the house. But since they come from different generations, things can get weird, but Jox has a lot of respect for Dakoda (knowing his backstory and all) and they're actually very good friends. Spending a lot of time together, with Jox trying to teach Dakoda about new technology and Dakoda trying to get him to be more social.
