Description A hull in Hull. I'm not sure if these old barges form part of the sea defences, or whether they were just left here to die, but they sit entrenched in mud, watching the Humber flow by to the sea. They remind me of the boats you come across in Oblivion, with ghosts inside them.

My sister-in-law lives in the Victoria Docks, so it's not far away from where I took the photos (a bit of a bracing walk though ) But Hull is surprisingly pretty - all those old buildings and cobbled streets and things - not what you'd expect from the press it gets. Although my four-year-old did call it 'Hole' the whole time we were there

Yeah, whenever I talk to someone about Hull all it gets is abuse I admit that the majority that I saw deserved it's reputation (Bransholme for example) but now I regret not visiting the docks and stuff D:
