Yeah, the title's ironic. They've been erecting this windfarm for a while now.

A sample of some of the things local papers and groups and outraged smallminded idiots have been saying so far -

It will decimate the view from Llandudno (do they know decimate means reduce by a TENTH - only a tenth - and how do you reduce a view, anyway?)

It will destroy the beautiful sunsets from the North Wales coast. (Note, the NORTH WALES coast. From Llandudno, home of the whinging imbecile, at least, the view of the windfarm is predominantly in the north east. I'd like to see a windfarm change where the sun sets!)

It will destroy tourism. (do we want tourists who can't stand the sight of a windfarm, and would rather have coal/nuclear power stations nicely tucked away where we can't see them?)

I can't remember the other things offhand. Probably something along the lines of 'the devil likes to lick windmills', or 'whales will use them for late night parties', or 'teenagers will be encouraged to do something other than sit inside and be bored because of them'

My lense is filthy. Grr. Perhaps the windfarm did that, too...
