Down the valley grows a Julian treeThat Sirius looks down out of envy
Regarding its beauty as empty
As the beauty of debris and scree
But Aphelion would love to see
Its famously overwhelming leaves
That before the sun in the sky leaves
Shines so bright, so right, wayward and free
And our God loves this tree so much
That no tempest has this tree ever fought
And no Ophelia has stood on it
When I first saw this tree, I thought
How happy I’d be with just one ‘lil branch
If only it weren’t past the deepest pit!
